About Us

The Peck family have been farming at Stockwell Farm for over 50 years. They are a dairy farm, with their own dairy - Eggington Dairy - which still supplies to homes and businesses in the area.

The strategy of supermarkets to use milk as a loss leader created a trading environment where the milk business was insufficient to provide the required income. The family were looking for other business opportunities connected with farming which achieved the best use of the land. The Farm Shop was launched in October 2002.

As a farming family, the Pecks have always cared about food - where it's from, and how it has been grown. We care about what we, and our children, eat.

The product focus is on quality, rather than organic for the sake of it. Some of the produce sold is organic, but the main criterion is that it is local and fresh.
